“As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.” Proverbs 27:19 NIV

There are many many things that can influence and/or motivate someone to do something. Some people do it for the fame, for money, for love (aw), for publicity, for the praises and compliments of other people, for revenge, and so much more. Proverbs 27:19 said like water reflects our face, our lives reflect our hearts. This is a reminder for us that everything starts with our heart. People often do things with the wrong motivation. Work only just because it’s our job, studying only to pass and graduate, going to church just because our friends are going.. With us as God’s reflection, we have to truly have a pure heart of God. Whatever we do, work at it with all our heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters (Colossians 3:23), so our lives will show too then people will see Him in us.

What has been our motivation these times?
In our university, in our workplace, in our oikos?
Is it already for pleasing Jesus? Or is it only for people to “see” us?
